Principal's Message

Welcome Back, WTR Families!

As we begin another school year at William T. Rogers Middle School, I am incredibly excited about what lies ahead for our students, staff, and families.

Middle school is such an important time in a child’s life. It is a time of tremendous growth, change, discovery, and opportunity. At WTR, we believe our responsibility extends far beyond academics. We want our students to become confident learners, kind classmates, responsible young people, and individuals who understand that their choices and actions matter.

Above all else, I want every student who walks through our doors to know three things: you belong here, you are supported here, and there is always an adult in this building who is ready to help you.

We will continue to set high expectations for our students while also providing them with the encouragement, patience, guidance, and support they need to meet those expectations. We believe deeply in accountability, but we also believe in second chances. We believe in hard work, but also in recognizing growth. We believe in celebrating achievement, but equally in celebrating kindness, effort, perseverance, improvement, and the courage to try something new.

Our goal is to create a school where students are excited to come each day, where they feel safe being themselves, where they are challenged to become better, and where they understand that they are part of something bigger than themselves.

None of that happens without partnership. Families are an essential part of everything we do, and I hope you always feel comfortable reaching out, asking questions, sharing concerns, and celebrating successes with us. When families, teachers, staff, and administrators work together, our students are the ones who benefit most.

As we begin this year, I encourage our students to get involved, meet new people, take chances, ask for help when they need it, and make the most of every opportunity that comes their way.

We have an incredible opportunity ahead of us to make this a year filled with learning, laughter, growth, memories, and moments our students will carry with them long after they leave WTR.

I am proud to be part of this community, and I cannot wait to see all that our students accomplish together this year.
