June 2, 2026 - Day 2
All 8th grade students will be voting for the Kings Park High School’s 9th grade student council during their A-Block today!
Anyone interested in playing golf next year there will be a mandatory meeting June 2nd right after school in Mr. Edumundson’s Health room. If anyone has any questions, please reach out to coach Edmundson before the meeting.
After this week, book circulation will end in the library. All books are due back by Friday, June 12th. There are over 600 books currently checked out, so please return yours ASAP!
The Kings Park High School Theater Honors Society will be hosting a workshop at the High School on June 9 at 2:45. All interested actors, tech crew and stage crew should sign up via the Google Form on the WTR class page or see Mr. Burton in Room 207A.
There will be a Boys and Girls Soccer Meeting on Tuesday June 9th after school. It will be held in the cafeteria until 3 pm. Any current 6th, 7th or 8th graders interested in trying out for the middle school or JV teams in the fall, should come and sign up. Please see Coach Nally or Coach Lipinsky if you have any questions.

The Summer Festival is THIS Thursday, June 4th and we are so excited for all the fun taking place at WTR! Are you ready for inflatables, carnival games, DJ, Dunk Tank, entertainment, glitter tattoos, cotton candy, Italian ices and so much more!
And don’t forget – for the FIRST TIME EVER, you’ll have the chance to DUNK DR. P!
The PFA will be selling Dunk Dr. P tickets during lunch Tuesday ONLY! This is your FINAL CHANCE to purchase before the festival!
Tickets are $5 per throw or 3 throws for $10, and if you dunk Dr. P., you earn a FREE throw!!
Tickets will not be sold at the festival, so don’t miss your chance to take your best shot at Dr. Pesqueira!

Monday – 3 days left to the Festival
Down 1-0 in the top of the 2nd inning, the boys’ baseball team poured on 11 runs to go by 10 and start the victory clap against Northport yesterday. RBIs from Jeremy Katz, Duane Romans, and Vinny Allocca helped lead the charge. The big Fella Alan Martinez was throwing was throwing straight fuego on the mound. It was strike after strike. The boys’ final game is tomorrow against Commack at the High School on the JV field. Come support the team as they look to finish with only 1 loss.
The WTR boys track and field team went up against Nesaquake middle school yesterday.
For the girl's team, personal bests were abounded with Sirena Z and Abby W, besting their triple jump distances. Kiersten Reno, Caitlin L, Elizabeth D, Keira M, Sydney M and Maddie G posted great times in their events. Kate P, Audrey E, and Kate B continue their dominance in their events.
For the boy's team, Michael M remains undefeated for the season in the 1500 meter run with Jackson R toughing out another race! Judah M, Connor F, Connor B, Gabe F, Ben O, Harrison T-C, Danny B and Quentin A continue to provide standout performances. Owen C landed a best distance in the long jump event!
Congratulations to all the athletes! The last meet of the season is tomorrow, Wednesday at Kings Park High School, so come and cheer your friends on!
