Last Friday the Boys Basketball team won a barn burner against Elwood Middle School. Down 37-45 with 56 seconds to go, the team pressed hard and was able to crawl back to win, 44-43. The comeback was sparked by a steal by Joe Ferry who assisted to the milk man Jeremy Katz to cut the lead to 4 points. With 7 seconds left in the game the milk man found himself on the foul line with 2 shots to win the game and he hit both. Frank Rodriguez and Hagen Callahan did a great job protecting the ball and Alan Martinez added 8 points.
If you are interested in trying out for girls basketball this year, please sign up in the girls locker room. A brief informational meeting will be held on 1/6 directly after school in the gymnasium. Please make sure to have an updated physical by the first day of tryouts on January 26th.
