Today kicks off Red Ribbon Week at WTR! This week represents OUR commitment as a school to be DRUG FREE. To promote this movement we will participate in spirit days to highlight the goals of Red Ribbon week.
Tomorrow “LET’S SOCK IT TO DRUGS AND ALCOHOL! WEAR A PAIR OF FUN AND CRAZY SOCKS!”
We will be collecting candy for donation to Branches in Middle Island. Candy will be collected in the Assistant Principals Office until October 29th (Tuesday) and candy bags will be made for community service afterschool in the LGI and donated. If you or your student would like to take part, please complete a Student Candy Bag for Halloween form which is located in the main office.
Heyyy William T! Guess what time of year it is, it is HALLOWEEN!!! Do you know what that means? That means the school dance is happening! Get your spooky costumes on and come join us at the school dance – October 30th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Buy those tickets at the security desk for only $5.00 during all lunch periods!! Because Halloween dance is happening! There will be music, dancing, and you will want to wear your best, and scariest, costumes since there is going to be a costume contest and prizes! HURRY! The boys varsity soccer team has a home playoff game tonight at 6pm at the high school on the turf against Rocky Point. Please come and cheer on the boys if you can.
Congratulations to the Kings Park gymnastics team who placed top 3 at Fridays meet against William Floyd. On vault in 2nd place 8th grader Leslie Lee with an 8.2. On bars in 3rd place Leslie Lee with a 7.7 and in 2nd place Senior Bleakley Hand with an 8.1. On beam in second place Bleakley Hand with an 8.85. On floor in 1st place Bleakley Hand with a 9.1. Good job girls!
