William T. Rogers Middle School

Good morning,

Girls Lacrosse had their first game yesterday.  Lost a tough one against Great Hollow.  They never gave up though.  Goals were scored by Gianna Valdes, KK Van Gelder, Lucia Noblett, Ryleigh Byrne, Michaela Dorsey.  Assists were had by Gianna Valdez, KK Van Gelder, Franki Pugh, Delaney Plutzer and Ryleigh Byrne.  We had some great defensive plays from Mikayla Haggerty, Penelope Bilbao, Faith Higgins, Riley Sandoval, Emma Salva and Abigail Diaz.  Girls play home Wednesday at 4.  Great job girls!

Attention Cast and Crew of Alice in Wonderland.  We will be having our cast party on May 20^th from 2:30 to 3:30 in the cafeteria.  This invitation is ONLY for the students who were involved in the play.  Thank you!

The Kings Park High School Theater Honor Society will be hosting a theater workshop at the High School on Monday, May 19^th at 3:00 pm for all interested WTR students.  There will be workshops focused on acting, choreography, stage craft and more.  Please see the posters located around the halls or see Mr. Burtonfor further details.

If you are an 8^th grade student interested in running for the Kings Park High School 9^th Grade Student Council, then this message if for you!  There will be a MANDATORY meeting this Friday morning, May 16^th at 7:30 am in Room 126 for any 8^th grader who is interested in running.  Please see Ms. Harding, Room 126, with any concerns.  Thank you!
