This is just a reminder that today is the 1st Study Skills Workshop. If you signed up then you are in the class. Please report to Room 103 at 2:30. Please make every effort to attend.
Coming soon, PASTA AND POPS!!!! Do you have a special talent? Are you a singer or a dancer? Are you an actor or actress? Are you a part of an ensemble? If so, would you like to participate in a fun event with WTRMS Student and teacher performances? If you are interested, please come to an informational/interest meeting on February 12th at 2:30 in the cafeteria. Students will be dismissed in time for the late buses. The actual Pasta & Pops event will be take place on March 21st at 6:00 pm here at WTR. The tickets will be $10 each and only $5.00 if you are an 8th grader or younger. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
As a many of you are aware, the Super Bowl is this weekend, so it is time for our “SOUP R BOWL”! Support your team and the struggling families of Kings Park by donating soup or crackers in this time leading up to the game. The boxes are located in the center of the lobby and labeled with the two teams. Put your donations in the box for the team you want to see WIN. ON Friday, February 7th we will announce who is the team to beat according to WTR! So support your team and support your team and support Kings Park. Thank you!!
Our collection for the Stony Brook Children’s hospital is currently in full swing. We are collecting food items for the Family Lounge at the Ronald McDonald House that is located in the Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. We are kindly asking you to consider donating to such a wonder cause. We are having a contest in each A-Block. The A-Block class that collects the most items will win a bagel breakfast. All items are due by February 7th. Please bring the items to your A-Block class. As always, thank you for your support.
Beginning on February 10th, WTRMS will recognize P.S. I Love You Week, offering a series of community service opportunities for our students. This week, which culminates in P.S. I Love You Day on Friday, February 14th, focuses on mental health awareness. We encourage our students to promote kindness and create a welcoming environment at WTRMS. This year’s theme is “A Brighter Tomorrow Begins Today”.

February 10, 2025 – 7:30 am – Learn about P.S. I Love You Day Extravaganza with Dr. Servidio – P.S. I Love You Day is a day dedicated to raising awareness about mental health, promoting kindness and preventing bullying. It emphasizes the importance of embracing differences and lifting each other up.
February 11, 2025 – 2:30 pm – Coffee Cup Sleeves. Coffee cup holders will be available to decorate after school with illustrations of positivity from William T. Rogers and will be distributed at 3 Sons Deli.
February 13, 2025 – 7:30 am – Our Students will have an opportunity after school to write thank you letters to our local heroes, including making cards for health care workers at St. Catherines’ Hospital, and making valentine cards for patients at the St. Johnlands Nursing Home.
February 14, 2025 – Lunch Periods – PFA Kindnessgrams!!
